"All are welcome, none are excluded"

Welcome

Welcome to St.Wulstan’s, Warndon online.

The parish church has been a Christian presence in the heart of Warndon Estate since 1963.

It was built to meet the needs of the Estate as a place of worship; a place for baptisms, weddings, and funerals; a meeting place, and a place for social events.

It was the vision of the late Mrs. Jean Norman, who wrote to the then Bishop of Worcester sharing her vision and set about raising funds for the church to be built.

The church was dedicated for worship on St.Wulstan's Day, 19th January 1963, and so St.Wulstan's Church was born.

The late Mrs. Jean Norman with Bishop John and our former vicar at Worcester Cathedral on 19/1/17 when Jean was  awarded the Cross of St.Wulfstan for a lifetime of service to the Church and Diocese.

Our Vision

We believe that God, through Jesus Christ, welcomes everyone. Here at St.Wulstan's we try to do the same.

St.Matthew tells us in his Gospel that Jesus said that we should love God, and love our neighbours.

As a church community here in Warndon we

attempt  to live this out.

Like any church community some of us have a lot of faith, some of us have little. But as we journey together, through the ups and downs of life, as a church and as individuals, we live out our faith knowing Christ's love and sharing it in

 word and action with others.

Do join us...

Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals

As your parish church we are uniquely placed to share in your celebrations of life, your joy and your sorrow.

We offer a venue for baptisms, weddings and funerals. The church is open and staffed between 10am and 11.30am on the 1st, 2nd and 4th Saturday mornings of each month, and we will be happy to assist you

in booking a baptism; organising for your banns of marriage to be read; or helping you book your wedding at St.Wulstan's. In the sad event of a bereavement, following your contact with a Funeral Director, they will be in touch with us to arrange a funeral in line with your wishes ...

Services

Sunday Morning services take place at St. Wulstan's.  There is a Parish Eucharist (Holy Communion Service) every Sunday at 10am. On 3rd Sundays at 11.30am our Baptism services take place.

Sunday Evening services vary:

On 1st Sundays of the month at 5pm we have our PCT@5 Service. This takes place in the home of two of our congregation (Mike & Eve Lindley)  and along with a 'proper' Sunday tea of sandwiches, cakes, and tea, we spend time reading from the bible, in discussion, in getting to know each other better, and in prayer. Do come along to see what goes on, as all are welcome!

At 5pm on 3rd Sundays we have a short service of Evening Prayer at Brookthorpe Close Sheltered Housing, located off Cranham Drive, about five minutes walk from the Church.

When there are 5 Sundays in the month, we join with the congregations of our neighbouring parishes, St.Barnabas with Christchurch, and St.Nicholas, for an evening 'cluster' service.

Services take place throughout the week at St.Wulstan's with opportunity to join in Morning Prayer and a Midweek Eucharist service.

Any additional services will be announced on our notice board and here on our website.
